Among our most recent transformations is a remarkable 3.93 ct purplish-red Spinel rough, ethically sourced from the gem-rich lands of Nivithigala, Sri Lanka—a region celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest Spinel.

When we first acquired this rough stone, it showed extraordinary potential. Measuring approximately 10 x 8.9 x 5.5 mm, its vibrant purplish-red hue, transparency, and purity hinted at the brilliance hidden within. Guided by experience, we entrusted this rare piece to our master cutter, Mr. Rumesh, to unlock its full beauty while respecting its natural form.

Transforming Spinel is an art of balance. Each decision—from table orientation to pavilion depth—was made after careful observation of its internal crystal axes and inclusions. Spinel is known for its unique light behavior, and precision was key to preserving color saturation and enhancing fire.
