Pink Star Sapphire
Pink Star Sapphire
Pink Star Sapphire is a captivating variety of sapphire that combines soft to vivid pink color with a natural star effect (asterism) visible under a single light source. When properly cut, these gemstones display a luminous six-rayed star that glides across the surface, creating a magical and elegant appearance.
As a member of the corundum family, pink star sapphire has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, making it durable enough for everyday jewelry. These stones are typically cut as cabochons to best reveal the star and are ideal for rings, pendants, and unique statement pieces.
This category features carefully selected pink star sapphires chosen for color beauty, star sharpness, symmetry, and natural character.

About Pink Star Sapphire Gemstones
The star effect in pink star sapphire is caused by fine, aligned rutile needle inclusions within the crystal. When these inclusions intersect correctly and the stone is cut with a high dome, a distinct star appears on the surface.
Pink star sapphires are found in limited quantities in Sri Lanka (Ceylon), Myanmar, Madagascar, Thailand, and India. Some stones may be heat-treated, but excessive heat can weaken or remove the star, so treatment disclosure is essential.
Stones with a well-centered star, good translucency, and attractive pink color are especially valued by collectors and jewelry designers.
