From 4.00 ct Rough to 1.17 ct Radiance

The journey of this sapphire began as a 4.00 carat rough crystal discovered through traditional alluvial mining in Rakwana. Carefully selected by Danu Group from trusted local miners, the stone showed promising structure and natural blue saturation.

Under the expertise of our senior master cutter, Mr. Channa, an oval step-style cut was chosen to enhance symmetry, brilliance, and face-up balance. The result: a perfectly proportioned 1.17 ct oval sapphire with vivid Rakwana luster and remarkable transparency.

Why Unheated Matters

Most sapphires in the global market are heat-treated to improve color and clarity. This gemstone remains completely unheated, meaning its color and internal characteristics are entirely natural.

Unheated Ceylon sapphires from Sri Lanka are highly regarded by collectors because they represent geological authenticity and rarity. No artificial enhancement. No modification. Just nature’s work.

Rakwana Sapphire Character

Rakwana sapphires are known for:

Cool-toned deep blues

High natural luster

Excellent light reflection

Balanced tone and clarity

This piece reflects that signature character — vivid yet refined, brilliant yet elegant.
