Pink Sapphire is a natural, light pink to deep violet-pink colored, precious gemstone from the Corundum mineral family. The pink sapphire color is due to trace amounts of chromium in the mineral. It can be seen in a wide range of colors with its own unique pink among other pink gemstones. Due to its exceptional color and incredible hardness, Pink Sapphire is widely appreciated as a jewelry gemstone.
It’s symbolizing good fortune, power through hardships, intense love and compassion, and subtle elegance. Today, the use of colored gemstones is very popular beyond the traditional engagement ring of the modern generation. Pink sapphires have become popular for engagement rings in recent decades and are also used as a substitute for pink diamonds as they are more expensive. In Vedic astrology, this gemstone is said to have similar effects as the Ruby gemstone. Western culture recommends Pink Sapphire as September month birthstone.
